Lesson 2: Motivate yourself

“Starting tomorrow I will lose weight” is a common saying of many people (myself included), but strangely, the night before you have a burning motivation, but by the next morning you are not. Can't keep the fire. So in today's lesson, I offer 3 ways to help you stay motivated to lose weight throughout your journey.


1. Think about your goals every day

If we think about our goals every day, there will be an unconscious motivation within us that will motivate us to work. It is an invisible force within you. When you think about losing weight regularly and it will stick in your head every day, your brain will subconsciously create motivation and you will accomplish your goal.

2. Find a companion to lose weight

To motivate weight loss during exercise, you should find a companion with you. This friend will exercise with you, cheering you on when your determination to lose weight goes down. They will also be able to support you when you are tired and need help. After such times, you will have more motivation to continue the long road ahead. Ideally, you should choose a companion who shares the same health and fitness goals as you.



You can find companions on the Internet, among your friends, or simply neighbors who have the same interests as you. There are also many online communities about weight loss. You can find companions in such groups.

One piece of advice is that you should find a companion whose personality is right for you. If you didn't like the person at first, practicing together will only give you an unpleasant experience. From there, you will gradually lose the motivation to lose weight.

3. Increasing weight loss motivation through valuable visuals for the process

To keep you motivated in your weight loss journey, here are a few suggested images you should see every day:



Your photos are recent but look neat: Choose pictures where you look happy and casual. They don't have to be pictures of you with a toned, lean body. As long as you feel prouder when looking at the past "taste" than your current self. That will make you happy and more determined to get back in shape every day.

Photos of your favorite places: Such photos will stimulate dynamism in you. It can be a picture of an island you want to go to for snorkeling, a beautiful beach in Central Vietnam, or a picture of you winning a race in high school.

 Photos of friends, family, and loved ones: You will be more motivated to lose weight when you look at the person you love. Taking good care of yourself also means that you are well prepared to take care of those around you.

There are many different weight loss diets. Most of them are based on the principle of cutting calories into the body every day. If the calories you take in are less than the calories you burn, your body will lose weight. However, most people who follow the diet will gain weight again after a short period of successful weight loss. The more extreme the diet, the higher the risk of gaining weight back. Therefore, you should not choose a diet that requires excessive calorie reduction and requires the complete elimination of certain food groups.

Method 1: You can change the password of your phone or an application that you often use, and change it to a sentence that urges action related to your weight loss goal. For example, I changed my fb password as :i-will-drop-4Ibs-by-November-17, 2022 and I will disable fb auto-login and I will re-enter this password. When I enter my fb password I always think about my goal,

l Method 2: You record a video of yourself clearly reading your goals and plans. Watch the video every day to clearly remember the goals you have to do. Can post videos on fb or instagram for extra motivation.
